How big are you really?

OK folks, it has officially happened in my life. Last week on the same day I had 2 different people ask me when I was due and then start to laugh when I would tell them at least 2 more months. :)(lovely!)

I know I am having twins and I get that you have to get bigger than you do with just one, but come on....do you really have to get so big that every maternity shirt and pants and basically everything in your maternity wardrobe doesn't fit? I don't really want to buy anymore maternity clothes as my budget for babies is all ready shot with the arrival of two! (Did you know that a newborn uses 8-10 diapers a day and that twins use 16-20! Does that mean I will be buying the whole shelf of newborn diapers every month?)

With that all said this pregnancy has been remarkably well all things considered. I haven't been too uncomfortable just yet and can't believe that we really only have 2 more months to go. Sorry to rant...I just can't even imagine how big I am really going to get in the next 2 months! :)

Hi everyone,
I just nicked this off Charlie Cooper's website (see the side bar) and thought I would try and pass along the word. This is a great opportunity to support an organization that helps kids like Claire. I don't think you need to be "in shape" to do this so we would love to see you there!!!:)

Hope that some of our family can be there! (Maybe not me and the boys but Kent and the girls? But who knows?)

Mack and Morgan

We have done it. I think we have decided on names for our boys. Please feel free to agree or disagree if you feel so inclined!:)

2 weeks ago we went for the big Ultra sound and I am so happy to say that they are very healthy and doing well. The tech looked specifically at their brain development since Claire's condition happened in the womb and I am so relieved to say that so far everything looks 100% normal. She also said that she hadn't seen twins that were as healthy as our little guys in a long time. Thanks goodness!!! They also did those weird 3D pictures (which I have no idea how to post so if someone wants to tell me I would try!). One looks just like a Watkins and the other a Phippen so that is why we decided to name one Mack after my dad and the other Morgan after Kent's grandpa. Initially we didn't want to do double initals but honestly they just work for us and feel right so far. We are still working on middle names and will let you know.
Bring on the M & M's!!!

I am trying to make it to the end of April and at the latest May 9th. It is coming up and then the true CRAZY will hit our small family! I am nervous....very nervous!:)

It's Official!

The past three weeks have been miracles after miracles. The biggest one in our family is that Claire is officially walking! She has now decided that walking will be her main mode of transportation and I couldn't be more relieved and happy. She walks everywhere now and like any regular 2 yr old she wants to now do everything by herself. She has also started trying to speak more as a result of walking (the Dr.'s think). She still isn't really communicating in a form that you can understand, but she signs and points and tries to get her ideas across and they usually do make it.

I just have to say that these things are miracles in our family and I am so thankful for them!
Congratulations Claire! We couldn't be more happy for this huge milestone!:)
