My new obsession

I have a new obsession. Coupons. I have been watching these blogs that people have and am amazed at how much $ they can save. How do they do it?!

I have officially subscribed to the Standard Examiner for the coupon special. 5 Sunday papers every week and one weekly paper for the low price of $19.99 per month. So the way I figure is if I can at least save $120 a year then I have paid for my papers. I think that is feasible. I don't know for sure.

So here is the deal (no pun intended)I need your help. Does anyone know of someone who would teach me a coupon class? Does anyone want to come to a class if I can find someone? I would be willing to host it I just don't know of someone who would teach. I have emailed a couple of people with no response. I would love to learn how to use all my new "specials".

I am also open to ideas or encouragement as this is a whole new world to me!:)

Thanks everyone!

I definitely want to come if you host a party. I am always in need of some helpful tips on how to save. Great idea!

Have you been using pinchingyourpennies.com? They make it pretty easy to know what coupons go with what deals, etc.

I would be all in for a party. I have tried coupons but get frustrated with them. I wish you luck!

great idea to have a party - might be worthy of a trip down to Salt Lake! I online shop usually, so before I buy anything I always type into google "coupon for amazon (or whatever site I am on)" and it usually comes up with coupons... Ebates is also an amazing site, no fee to join you just become a member, then buy everything (and I mean they have every online site out there) through them (airline tickets, hotel reservations, everyday goods) - then at the end of a month they send you 'a big fat check' of the money you earned from buying through them that basically ranges from 1-8% of all your purchases made through their site...oh and never rent a redbox without coupons - they always have promo codes online...

I have totally gotten into coupons (as you can tell) but haven't really done in store coupon use...

Keep me updated if you get something together!
